PRE-PREPARATION

  1. Filling – Combine apple fruit filling, brown sugar, cinnamon powder, raisins and flour together.
  2. Topping – Sift icing sugar and add milk and vanilla flavour. Mix till its fully incorporate and set aside.

PREPARE THE DOUGH

  1. Mix all the ingredients except for shortening and butter oil substitute on low speed for 4 minutes.
  2. Add shortening and butter oil substitute and mix on high speed for 5 minutes or till dough is fully developed.
  3. Rest the dough for 5 minutes on a pre-greased table.

SHAPING

  1. Divide the dough equally into approximately 200g each.
  2. Roll out the dough into a rectangular shape and spread the filling in the center. Fold the sides of the dough by overlapping each other. Seal the ends and flip the dough. Make sure the seal part is at the bottom.
  3. Proof for 45 minutes at 27˚C or until double in size.
  4. Brush a layer of egg wash and score the dough.

BAKING

  1. Pre-heat the oven at 180˚C and bake for 40 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Remove from oven and cool on a wire rack.
  3. Glaze with icing sugar topping.
